“I feel the need to speak to you. I was first diagnosed in 1989 at the age of 17. I had Cushing syndrome that caused a cancerous tumor in my left adrenal gland which was removed. 2 years later it metastasised to my liver and I was told I had maybe 6 months. My son was 3 weeks old. Since then, I’ve had 5 more recurrences and currently have 2 spots in my chest that they are watching.

My message of hope to you is even when things are at their worst and the news is not great, KEEP BELIEVING that someone bigger than Cancer is in control and that we are all living with cancer, not dying of cancer. My prayer is that my story helps others when they feel overwhelmed. God bless you all.”
