A treatment option used to target surgically complex tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous, around the body. This is a form of radiation therapy and is non-invasive. It uses technology to deliver precise treatment to target the location of tumors in real-time. There is minimal radiation exposure to surrounding health tissue and no incisions nor anesthesia are required. These treatments are performed in an outpatient setting and treatment sessions last approximately 30 to 90 minutes. On average, one to five sessions are needed, though this depends on the tumor. The treatment itself is done without the robotic arm touching you and there is a low risk of complications afterwards.
